Look what I found today...........

Don't they look yummy?

look at this beautiful lace and did you notice the Brooch?

 
                                       
some barbecued altoid tins all they need now is a little rust
more lace

Yummy indeed! 'Grilled' Altoid tins - are these literally put under a grill to get that effect or put in a bbq type fire? Happy Sunday to you too, xxx

Jo was right - I did barbcue the tins and will spray them with vinegar to rust them.

LOL! Grilled Altoid tins? Well, that must be a lot safer than holding them to a candle and risking burnt fingertips. Great finds! Are they MOP buttons? I'm having so much trouble finding the pretty carved ones. I've seen jars in the antique barn lately, but all mixed plastics and ugly ones. :-(

I`m burning my metal pieces too, in my oven (not the one for meals)but for heating- works very well.

The button cards are great, and all that yummy lace. Crafters are the only people I know that would get excited over grilled altoid tins! Maybe we should make a "Cook" book. Rusted Tins could be one of the sections.
