Merry Christmas

Hello my dear friends,

first of all thank you so much for all the lovely comments and the warm welcome back on my latest post. That really touched my heart:) I took my time and visited your blogs, left comments but sadly, most of you won't know, as the old problem still exist, you won't receive an email informing you that I left  a comment. That said, I would like to share my progress with the new studio.
Did I tell you it is small?  I'm trying to get the most out of it and taking my time. Love how it is coming along and it is really nice to work in.
Recently I  finished this card.

To my delight I received already  first packages from my dear friends which I would like to share with you.

The first package to arrive, was from dear Julia @ Vintage With Laces
She created this truly beautiful star for the new studio for me and

the most gorgeous fabric Christmas tree. Did you notice the tiny gifts under the tree? So adorable.

It is just perfect for  my ladder, now decorated for Christmas. Thank you so very much, dear Julia.

Dear Dorthe @ Den Lille Lade send me the most beautiful Winter angel.

Dressed up so very beautiful with her fur hat and lace dress.

Isn't she absolutely gorgeous? Thank you so very much, dear Dorthe.

Finally I would like to share this chandelier charm which I created almost a year ago.

Since this will be my last post for the year, I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for all the support and friendship you have given me over the years and I'm looking forward to another fabulous year of blogging with you.
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and hope dear Santa, will bring everything you wished for.

Stay warm and safe in 2017.

Hugs and love,

Marie

Missed you all

Hello my dear friends,
so much has happened over the last couple of months, that I don't know where to begin.
To make a long story short, after some minor surgeries during spring and summer, we also started to look for a new home. The project was very time consuming. Finally we found a new home and we put our old house on the market. You can imagine what kind of work is involved. The move took place by the end of September and the sale of the old one in October. We were without internet connection for a couple of weeks. After painting and refurbishing our house in finally feels like home. My new studio is still in  construction mode and a number of cartons still need to be unpacked

Nevertheless, with Christmas approaching very fast, I managed to create two Christmas cards.
Even so, not all of my supplies are unpacked.

This is a peek into my new studio.

A little Christmas decoration in the garden.
I missed you all and it feels nice to be back.
Have a wonderful weekend and as always thank you so much for stopping by.

Vintage Suitcases

Hello my dear friends,
due to a bursitis in my left elbow I had to take an unexpected break from posting and commenting.
The draining tube came out a few days ago and my elbow is almost like new.

For today's simply neutrals party @ Apple&Apricot I choose vintage suitcases as my theme.

Well, the brown one finally turned into white:)

I really like the way it came out.

I might embellish it further at a later point and I can assure you it will pop up again at a later time in the future.

Thank you, dear Wendy for hosting this wonderful event.
I'm so far behind it will take me a while to catch up with you.
Wishing you a wonderful week and as always thank you so much for stopping by and for all your lovely comments.

Hugs and love,

Simply Neutrals Tuesday

Hello my dear friends,
today I would like to share this little fabric collage with you. It is still in the lay out stage as I can't decide to use it as a book cover or turn it into a card. Help please:)

Here is a closer look at the butterfly. Cut out from a copper sheet and soldered.

Flowers from my garden. From me to you.

 Hello my dear friends,

Below you can see a shadow box I created for a dear friend. I will only show the back of the pendant  because my friend hasn't received it yet. Just a little teaser.

The necklace below was also created for a dear friend.

Simply Neutrals Tuesday #20

Hello my dear friends,
for today's Simply Neutrals Tuesday #20 over @ Apple & Apricot I would like to share some treasures I found at the local indoor flea market.  An old mop opera glass from Paris. Swoon:)

Such a lucky find.

Besides the opera glass I found these sweet children shoes.

Maybe for a four year old? Old books and some doilies were among my treasures as well.
At the moment I'm creating all kinds of rosary style links for necklaces and below I share just the neutral ones.

I also would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your heartfelt comments on my last post. They were very much appreciated.
Wishing you all a wonderful rest of the week and as always thank you so much for stopping by.

                                                                     Hugs and love,

Nice to be back

Hello my dear friends,
you might have wondered what happened to me over the last couple of weeks.
My dear aunt, passed away during February, which caught me and my family by surprise.
I was very close to her since I was a child.
You, my dear blogging friends, might imagine how hard this was for me. I just needed some time to recover. I will catch up with you over the next couple of days.

Have a wonderful week.

Hugs and love,

Marie

Hello my dear friends,
the bottle was a lucky find some time ago and below you can see what she looks like now:)

                                                       My new tiny dress form.

Simply Neutrals Tuesday

Hello my dear friends,
the last week I was down with a real nasty cold but now I'm back creating again.
The image used in the chandelier crystal is actually a rubber stamp from the Stampsmith -  Ophelia.
One of my favorite stamps and I love the way it turned out.

The charm above was quite a challenge  for me as this is the first time I soldered a crown to a charm.

Hello my dear friends,
please accept my apologies for being late for the Simply Neutrals Tuesday over @ Apple & Apricot

I created this soldered pendant and a sacred heart for a very dear friend as a Christmas gift.

Below are just a few of the lavender pillows my friend Patti created for me. They are simply gorgeous and smell so good.
