Forever In Our Hearts

Hello my dear friends,
so much has happened since my last post that I don't know where to begin. I created the hearts a while ago and they have been waiting in my inbox to get posted since July.
First of all my eye problems are still ongoing since - although I had several doctors' visits  - the root of the problem could not be determined yet.
On top of that my mother in law passed away unexpectedly. This had a major impact of our activities over the last 2 1/2 weeks and left us in a deep hole. She will be in our hearts forever.

In order to get back to normal we decided to take a little vacation. I hope you are all well.

Have a lovely Sunday and as always thank you so much for stopping by.

Hugs and love,

Your Well Wishes and Other's

Hello my dear friends,
first of all thank you so very much for your well wishes. Last Friday - my Birthday - I received the best gift from my Eye Doctor, both eyes are fine now and I hope it will stay that way.

Before I share  what my dear friend Dorthe send me with you, I want to answer a question about the rubber stamp I used in my altered book. Life is art Paint your dreams...Sing your songs...
Enjoy the dance.... is made by Stampendous ; Y025 Life is Art.  Hope that helps.

Beside this beautiful fabric birthday card , Dorthe also spoiled me  with the most gorgeous fabric book. I will let the photos do the talking.

These where just a few pages of the book. Thank you so much again, my dear Dorthe and you know how much I love it:)

This is what I created for Dorthe's birthday.

The fabric collage also functions as a gift holder and tucked inside is a small surprise.

Wishing you all a wonderful rest of the week and as always thank you so much for stopping by and for taking the time to leave a comment.

Hugs and love,

Hello From Me

Hello my dear friends,

I hope you don't think that I'm ignoring you all but my eye did not improve, it got really worse and
my vision is not the best. Due to this I'm unable to visit your Blogs. Hopefully the cortisone I'm now taking will help and I will be able to return soon.

I created the soldered matchbox in March and like the way it came out.

Wishing you a wonderful Memorial Day weekend and I will return as soon as my eye and vision improve.

Hugs and love,

New page for my book

Hello my dear friends,
due to a conjunctivitis I haven't been able to visit you all or post. So, today I would like to share my
new page in my altered book with you. I had such fun playing around with paint and created the match box shrine below.

I hope you are all fine and wish you a lovely week.
Hugs and love,

Altered Book

 Hello my dear friends,
I just started an altered book and would like to share my first page with you. This is something I haven't done in ages but it was so much fun. The heart was cut out from a mica sheet and the words are in between the layers. The window was cut out of a copper sheet and soldered.

May I also show off my first soldered crown:)

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend and as always, thank you so much for stopping by and for taking the time to leave me a comment.

Hugs and love,

Marie

Welcome Spring

Hello my dear friends,

a short warm weather spill inspired me to go into my neglected studio and with the birds singing outside I created this mail art. Otherwise my focus was to convert the new garden, into a flower paradise. It is not finished yet but I made a major step in that direction.

Spring finally arrived - isn't the Magnolia tree gorgeous?
Have a Happy Easter, dear friends.

Hearts

Hello my dear friends,
you might have wondered what took me so long to publish my first post in 2017.
After a good start into the new year we learned that we had a burglary into our new home in Germany.Let me just tell you that this is an experience nobody needs.
It took me a while to recover. Today I would like to share my soldered harts with you, which I created at the end of December.
The inspiration for the hearts came from an online class I took from Terri Brush.
She is a wonderful teacher and I can highly recommend any of her classes.

At the moment I'm trying my best to get back to normal. I hope 2017 started good for you.
Wishing you all a wonderful week and as always, thank you so much for stopping by.

Hugs and love,
