Soldered Matchbox Tutorial

Hello my dear friends,
are you ready to create a soldered matchbox with me?
DSC01908
You will need: glass cutter, metal ruler.cutting matt, matchbox, photo, old book pages or sheet music and trinkets to go into the box. Masking tape, glue.
Your basic soldering supplies: copper foil, soldering paste, bone folder and soldering iron.
DSC01887
To cut the cover I use the Memory Glass by Ranger 2 x 2 so you only need to make one straight cut.
DSC01888
After you scored the glass, lay it on top of the metal ruler and line it up with the edge to easily break the glass.Does that make sense?
DSC01896
Use the masking tape to reinforce the box and than cover the box with sheet music or old book pages.

Here is the box all ready to get wrapped with copper foil.

Her Dreams - Soldered Pendant

Hello my dear friends,
I'm still having fun soldering and here are the results. Her dreams ( the pendant above ) did come true or at least I hope so as she looks rather happy. Don't you think?

I always wanted to cut a house shape and finally had the nerve to do it and I must say it wasn't that difficult to do.The image came from Land of Nod Studios. Thank you.
Hopefully I will get a chance to work on the matchbox tutorial over the weekend.

You might have noticed that I also added the new Linky tool on my sidebar for all of you who are not on Blogger and would like to follow along. Thank you for following me.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend dear friends and as always thank you so much for stopping by and for all your lovely comments.

Hugs and love,
