Spoiled by sweet friends

This year I was really getting spoiled for my birthday. My dear friend Kim surprised me with this beautiful bracelet which came in the pouch you can see above.

Isn't it just beautiful? Thank you so much  dear Kim - you know how much I love it.

The next package I received was from dear Dorthe. I'm sure you all know sweet Dorthe @ Den Lille Lade.

She gifted me with this beautiful collage. You can click on the photo for a better view.

Here is a close up. Don't you just love how she decorated the wings with the lace? But that is not all;
sweet Dorthe gifted me also with one of her precious drift wood angels.

All the way from Australia came the next surprise:) Sweet Suzy @ Suziqusthreadworks  send me this gorgeous birthday card. How did she know my birthday was coming up!!!!

Look at all the layers of fabric and lace - so much texture. The photo does not show the real beauty of the card. Inside are two small fabric collages but Mr. Blogger won't let me upload the pix. Sorry.

Inside the card I found this beautiful bookmark as well. WOW. Thank you so much,dear Suzy.

What a fantastic City

Hello my dear friends,
can you guess where dh took me for my birthday???  We went to Istanbul -Turkey what a fantastic city. So much to  see and so little time. Lots of shopping opportunities too. The people are very friendly and the Restaurants are great.

This is the view from our balcony and here are some random photos.

I just love roses and had to take that photo.

Here are some treasures I found.We had such a wonderful time and I'm sure we will be back.

Adventure in soldering

Hello my dear friends,
today I would like to share my house shaped charm with you which was quite a challenge for me. Notice; no
jumpring on top:) I just couldn't do it so I soldered the charm on instead. Below you can see my first try at soldering a petite box - let's just say I'm not ready for that but I'll keep it as a reminder to not give up,lol.

And below a gothic arch - I really love how it turned out.

My first soldered bottle

 Hello my dear friends,
 today I would like to share my first soldered bottle with you. It is filled with coarse glass glitter,a dried rose bud and pearls. I soldered a jumpring to the top so that one can wear it as a necklace.You can click on the photo for a larger view.
