Rust & Patina

Here is a little heart I made out of rusted card board. It is only 3 inches tall. I used copper foil  around the edges. ( treated with patina) As you can see; I was in the mood for a little steam punk. Wings are metal.
You can click on the photo for a larger view. Not sure what I'll do with the heart, it might end up on a journal
or a card. Any ideas? As always, thank you so much for stopping by and for all your lovely comments.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend my dear friends. Stay warm!

Hugs and love,

Wow, das ist ja ganz meine Kragenweite:-) Ich denke, das würde sich sehr gut auf einem Canvas machen oder einem Shrine! Super sieht das aus, liebe Marie!

Hi Marie
The possibilities are endless. To decorate a box, in a shadow box frame, add vintage jewellery to create a hanging, a brooch.
In your hands rust has an air of elegance.

I always enjoy any time I spend viewing your blog - simply beautiful! I love your steampunk heart (and all your "Smitten" pieces, too).

Steampunk isn't my favorite, but this little heart wins me over - not over the top "industrial". And, of course, hearts are my favorite icon.

Your steampunk heart is fantastic! I think it would be great on a journal or even on a mixed-media collage.

Susan

Neat! This would look great on a little box of some kind. An altered tin maybe?

A little bit of love from a little rusty heart can go a very long way on a journal cover or collage.
