meet my christmas angel

This is what I have been working on. It's 15,5cm / 6,5inch. tall. The wings are metal and used to be gold.
So I painted them white and used brown Metallic Rub-ons to age them.Attching the wings was a challenge.
(Golden extra heavy gel medium ) Now I have to find a stand for her. Any ideas?

At the moment I'm also having fun playing  with photo collages.
Thank you so much for visiting and for your lovely comments.
Have a wonderful week.
Hugs and love,

Hello, your dress form is just beautiful. I have done these before and what I use for a stand are candle holders, you can use wood, glass or metal and it looks like a dress form stand. Thanks for sharing your beautiful work. Have a wonderful day. Terri

This is beautiful! I'm sure with your creativity the perfect way to display her will materialize! Even putting her on a smaller clear glass plate that you place on a stemmed goblet would work. You could fill the goblet with vintage mercury beads...line the plate with a vintage doilie,...Or she would be beautiful on one of those framed mirrors that are meant to sit on a dresser. You could add some fun vintage embellishments around her base. Very inspiring piece!

This is gorgeous, Marie! Ah...a stand...head on out to your local Lowe's and find some spindles! Attach them to some small plaques for the top to hold the angel and one to the bottom to hold the spindle up. Maybe someone has these already assembled? But you're so clever, you could probably find the pieces here and there and join them for a wonderful stand!
Can't wait to see what you come up with!
Hugs, Diane

Marie,
This is so beautiful. I love working with Golden Medium. Magical stuff. Your wings are lovely but how did you ever get them on. I was thinking of putting it on a cake stand but make I don't understand the dimensions if others are suggesting spindles and candle holders. Oh, well. It is beautiful work!
Hugs,
Suz

Hi Marie, Your dressform looks just beautiful! I think Diane's suggestion would work great. I had made a few dressform pincushions a while ago and used small wooden bars and plaques for them.
Have a great day :-)!

Julia

She is beautiful, so simple and elegant. I'd like to see her on one of those old fashioned wrought iron candle stands, distressed in off white rather than the usual black. Whatever you come up with for her, it will be gorgeous.

This is beautiful and so unique! I am not really good with pretty designs, but I think a pretty candy dish or even cocktail glass. Sometimes the bottom rim is wide enough that when turned upside down, they have a nice shelf! Like I said, no pretty design sense here!

She is wonderful. Love the wings.
I bought a small ready made form at Hobby Lobby...for my jewelry..and do not like the design on it...so you have encouraged me to try this.

Thank you,

Rose
