Fun With Ice Resin

Hello my dear friends,
while the Ice Resin was drying I played around with the solder and above is the result. The charm could be a necklace or adorn a journal - not quite sure yet:) Just love the texture on the house.

And here is my finished piece - thank you,Thespa.  Now I just have to practice the wire wrapping.

Linking up with Thespa @ Vintiquitiesworkshop for the first Ice Resin Linky Party and hope to see you there:)

Wishing you all a wonderful upcoming weekend and as always thank you so much for stopping by and for all your lovely comments.

Hugs and love,

Oh Marie these pieces are both so very gorgeous. I especially love the first one with the wide border.
Is that what you call textured soldering?
Oh yes I can see that on front of a journal for sure.
You are so gifted with these pieces Marie.
Sending love and hugs and looking forward to seeing the wrapping now!

YOU are our "Ice Resin and Soldering" Queen, Marie!!!
The first one is very special.

I don't know that I could be trusted with a soldering iron - maybe I would end up soldering my fingers together!!!

On a journal I made for my daughter many years ago, it had a little locket on the front. I glued an image inside and then poured Pratliglo (a 2 pot resin and hardener, combined to make a high gloss coating) over it.
The result was wonderful. The only issue was, that once mixed it had to be used in 2-3 minutes…. Do you know if this is similar to ice resin?

Have a wonderful relaxing weekend Marie!

Hi,Marie! The textured piece is just lovely! I've only tried this once and am taking another class to get more confidence/experience so that I can do this on my own. And the necklace would make a beautiful addition to anyone's accessories.

I never expected you to improve on your soldering but this, the texture is remarkable.
Resin looks such fun (although I did wonder if it is a complex process to activate the resin).

They both turned out just fabulous, my dear Marie! The texture on the house shape is really great.
The shopping bag you made for your Mom is beautiful as well. She'll be excited to receive it.
Happy Sunday to you!

Those two pieces are absolutely gorgeous, Marie, and they would look stunning made into necklaces. Having said that, the first one would make a wonderful focal point for a journal cover. Dang, girl, you are brilliant.
