Soldered Matchbox - she lives by the sea

Hello my dear friends,
this matchbox was sitting on my table for quite some time and I finally finished it.She lives by the sea and collects shells. Can you see the tiny shells?

Below is a side view of the box .

The photos came out a bit dark but below you can see the true colors.

I really had fun with this piece. Have a wonderful upcoming weekend dear friends and as always thank you so much for stopping by and for all your lovely comments.

Hugs and love,

Stunning! What a great use of a matchbox I never would have thought of it. I'm playing with a bit of saudering myself today, making Mushrooms for an Alice in Wonderland piece. But oh your box is so out of this world!

Hi my dear Marie, that is such a beautiful box, what a wonderful idea, to cut out, and feet in the glass, and then solder it- it is looking gorgeous, and is a lovely hanger,- so exiting that you can fill something inside , also, like the shells.
Hugs and love, to you.

Now I REALLY have to learn to solder. You've given me yet another reason!

Also, Marie, just a quick note to tell you I’ve nominated you for a “Versatile Blog Award”!

Don’t know what that means? Well, neither did I when I received this award last week from a fellow blogger named Isobel (http://coldhamcuddliescalling.blogspot.com/) in Warminster, Wiltshire, United Kingdom. I, of course, wanted to know more, so I did some research. I found a website that helped a lot. I also began to notice, as I surfed around, the “Versatile Blog Award” button on some blogs I was visiting. Visit my blog to see the announcement of your blog as a recipient of this award.

Why you, you may ask? Just because, I say! Because your blog caught my attention and inspired me in some fashion. It might have been the way you write, the great photos you take, or the fact that you motivate me to act, to be. Perhaps it was the look and feel of your blog overall. Maybe because you seemed genuine in some way, not self-serving, and not necessarily writing to accumulate “followers”, but rather with passion. Whatever my reason, a good chance for me to say “thanks” for delighting me through your blog!

Your artwork just touches my being - thanks for all the inspiration....Karen

Once again Marie you show off your soldering skills at the highest level. I am staggered at the quality (and I should know, after all I have one of your soldered charms as a treasure).
The image certainly speaks to me, not sure what her story is but I do believe she most certainly has a story to tell.
Adore the idea of altering the matchbox.
I definitely plan on trying soldering once again in this particular year - not that I will ever reach your standard.
Wishes
Lynne
